Ingredients
For the Crust

1/4 cup all-purpose flour or cornstarch

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

2–3 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust

In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar.

Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add ice water gradually until dough comes together.

Divide dough into two portions, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.

2. Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, flour, and vanilla. Toss well.

3. Assemble

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out one dough portion and fit into a greased 10×15-inch baking pan.

Spread apple filling evenly over crust.

Roll out second dough and place over filling.

Seal edges and cut slits in the top crust for steam.

4. Bake

Bake for 40–45 minutes, until crust is golden and filling is bubbly.

Cool slightly before glazing or slicing.

5. Glaze (Optional)

Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
