Bang Bang Salmon

Bang Bang Salmon 🔥🐟

Ingredients:

For the salmon:

4 salmon fillets (about 5 oz each), skin-on or skinless

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Bang Bang sauce:

⅓ cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon Sriracha (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lemon juice (for tang)

For garnish (optional):

Chopped green onions

Sesame seeds

Lime wedges

Directions:

Make the Bang Bang sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey or syrup (if using), and vinegar or lemon juice until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust spice level to your liking. Set aside.

Season the salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Sear the salmon:
Heat olive oil in a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if using skin-on). Cook for about 4–5 minutes, until the skin is crispy and the salmon is mostly opaque. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes until cooked through. (Internal temp should reach 145°F or 63°C.)

Assemble and serve:
Transfer salmon to plates and spoon the Bang Bang sauce generously over the top. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and lime wedges if desired.

Optional serving idea:
Serve over jasmine rice or a fresh salad for a delicious, balanced meal.
