Low Carb Spicy Sriracha Chicken Wings

Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings or drumettes
1/4 cup sriracha sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

In a large bowl, combine the sriracha sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to create the marinade.

Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them until they are evenly coated with the marinade.

Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared wire rack.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, turning the wings halfway through, until they are cooked through and have a deep, caramelized color.

Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro if desired, and serve hot.

Variations & Tips

For a milder version, reduce the amount of sriracha sauce or substitute with a milder hot sauce. If you prefer a sweeter glaze, add a tablespoon of honey or a sugar-free sweetener to the marinade. For an extra crispy texture, try air frying the wings instead of baking them. You can also experiment with different herbs and spices, such as adding a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat or using fresh ginger for a zingy twist.
