Stuffed Seafood Bread Bowl

IngredientsFor the Filling:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb lump crab meat
1/2 lb cooked shrimp, chopped
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp lemon juice
For the Bread Bowl:
1 large sourdough bread bowl
Instructions Prepare the Bread Bowl
Carefully hollow out the center of the sourdough bread bowl, making sure to leave a sturdy shell.
Save the removed bread pieces for dipping later!
Make the Creamy Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
Stir in the shredded
mozzarella, green onions, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, smoked paprika, and lemon juice.
Fold in the Seafood
Gently fold in the chopped shrimp and lump crab meat, making sure not to break up the seafood too much.
Mix until everything is evenly coated in the creamy filling.
Fill the Bread Bowl
Spoon the seafood mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl, packing it evenly for maximum flavor in every bite.
Bake to Perfection
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the stuffed bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
Serve & Enjoy
Remove from the oven and garnish with extra chopped green onions.
Serve warm with reserved bread chunks, crackers, or toasted baguette slices for dipping.
